The Diversify the Stage Apprenticeship Program
As the dedicated Program Manager for the Diversify the Stage apprenticeship program, Dynasty Creatives was instrumental in driving the initiative to create equity in live music venues and spaces. Our work was centered on ensuring the year-long apprenticeship program successfully equipped marginalized individuals with the skills and experience needed for careers in live events.
Dynasty Creatives’ responsibilities included:
Strategic Leadership: Serving as the lead program manager, overseeing the development and execution of the year-long apprenticeship.
Equity and Inclusivity: Directly working to ensure the program provided a clear pathway for marginalized people to enter and succeed in the live events industry.
Program Implementation: We facilitated a comprehensive program that included pairing apprentices with experienced mentors, providing 12 weeks of valuable on-the-job training, and delivering 6 months of virtual workshops focused on developing both technical and soft skills. A cornerstone of this experience was leading two cohorts on a visit to Rock Lititz, a world-renowned production facility for the live events industry. This provided apprentices with invaluable exposure to a premier hub for major concerts and events, culminating in their commencement ceremony being held on-site, a significant milestone for their budding careers.
Operational Management: Demonstrating exceptional organizational skills by creating production schedules, establishing policies and procedures, and managing official documentation to ensure 100% compliance with program guidelines and project timelines.
By providing comprehensive program management, Dynasty Creatives helped to build a foundation for a more inclusive and diverse future in the live music industry.
