History in Every Detail.

Vision in Every Move.

The story of a creative alchemist.

Colby A. Wilson is a dynamic creative force and the visionary behind Dynasty Creatives—a boutique consulting company that brings bold ideas to life through expert event management, artistic programming, and wardrobe styling. With over a decade of experience in creative direction, arts administration, and community engagement, Wilson is known for transforming concepts into unforgettable, purpose-driven experiences.

A natural organizer and born performer, Wilson has been curating moments since childhood—whether directing gospel choirs, building community-based programs, or producing full-scale events. What began as a love for the stage grew into a calling to empower others, build platforms for underrepresented voices, and design experiences that leave lasting impact.

The name Dynasty Creatives is more than branding—it’s legacy. Colby was named by his grandmother after the hit television show Dynasty, a series ahead of its time and anchored by fashion icons Joan Collins and Diahann Carroll. The show’s themes of glamour, ambition, and unapologetic presence laid the foundation for Wilson’s creative ethos. In a tribute to his lineage, he intentionally launched Dynasty Creatives on his great-grandmother’s birthday—an elegant, organized woman who embodied grace and style. Together, these influences breathe life into a brand rooted in excellence, heritage, and flair.

Currently, Wilson serves as Director of Programming for The Events Vocational Education Network (EVEN), where he leads a federally registered apprenticeship program designed to launch diverse talent into technical careers across the live events industry. Previously, he made waves as Disaster Services Manager at Houston Arts Alliance, where he revitalized the organization’s outreach efforts, led powerful community town halls, and drove a 50% increase in grant applicants through strategic partnership and storytelling.

Colby’s work spans disciplines and borders—from building culturally responsive curriculum as a middle school Social Studies teacher at KIPP Houston, to launching the first performing arts program at a language school in China. His talents in event production, artist development, and image consulting make him a sought-after collaborator for projects that demand both heart and excellence.

He holds a B.A. in Theatre from Clayton State University and an M.A. in Arts Leadership from the University of Houston. Through Dynasty Creatives, Wilson continues to fuse education, art, and intentional strategy to help creatives and communities thrive—one bold idea at a time.
