Our Story

Audrey Lee's Speakeasy is named in honor of Audrey Lee, the grandmother of co-founder Jerome Xavier, whose love of music, hospitality, and bringing people together serves as an inspiration for the venue.

The concept is also an homage to Jerome's family legacy. Generations before, members of his family owned and operated supper clubs in Parks, Louisiana—spaces where great food, live music, conversation, and community came together to create memorable experiences.

Those establishments were more than businesses; they were gathering places where culture was celebrated and relationships were built.

By combining intimate live performances, curated dining experiences, thoughtful hospitality, and meaningful community engagement, the venue seeks to honor that family tradition while creating a modern cultural destination for Atlanta audiences.

Our Story

Long before Audrey Lee's, we both spent years on stages and behind the scenes. As singers, choir directors, and performers, we've experienced firsthand the power of live music to connect people across backgrounds and generations. We've each led ensembles, produced concerts, directed performances, and created experiences that leave lasting impressions. Those years taught us that the most memorable moments aren't simply performed—they're carefully crafted.

Education has also shaped who we are. As educators, we believe in creating spaces where people can learn, grow, express themselves, and feel inspired. That same philosophy influences every event, performance, and gathering hosted within Audrey Lee's.

When it came time to build this space, we didn't hand our vision over to someone else. We built it ourselves. Every design decision, every finish, every detail was thoughtfully considered and completed by our own hands, with the exception of the performance stage, which was professionally constructed by a contractor. What guests experience today is the result of countless evenings, weekends, and months of dedication, creativity, and craftsmanship.

Jerome Xavier—also known to many as DJ Professor X—is an accomplished writer, storyteller, music curator, and creative visionary whose ability to shape narratives and atmosphere gives Audrey Lee's its unmistakable soul.

Colby Allen brings years of experience as an event producer, programmer, creative director, and wardrobe stylist, specializing in transforming ideas into polished, unforgettable experiences that blend thoughtful planning with elevated aesthetics.

Together, we are the perfect creative pair. One imagines the story; the other orchestrates the experience. One composes the atmosphere; the other produces the moment. Together, we direct, design, and bring ambitious ideas to life with intention, excellence, and heart.
